I'm a freelance writer for Texas Monthly, mostly writing about food and culture for their website. Over at Texas Highways I've written two stories about Tejano culture for the print magazine. I also write author Q&A's and book reviews for BookPage, a national monthly magazine that aims to connect readers with their next favorite book. When I worked at the New York Post as a designer I also contributed entertainment stories as needed and also have contributed pieces to the satirical queer research corporation, The InQueery.
I also wrote a profile of Jane Ragsdale, a fellow TWU alum and volunteer with Let Hope Begin Here, Guatemala for the Hill Country Community Journal, a weekly newspaper that serves the Texas Hill Country. You can read it here.
