LUIS G. RENDON
My name is Luis (though most folks call me Louie) and
I'm a Tejano journalist in
New York City.
From coast to coast, I've been an art director, designer and illustrator for newspapers big (the New York Post) and small (the Victoria Advocate) for over a decade. From running the sports desk on Super Bowl Sunday in San Francisco to committing crawfish espionage for a photo shoot in rural Texas, my commitment is to making journalism look good enough to read.
I'm also a writer, with a focus on writing about food and culture from the South Texas border. I've had reported pieces published in Texas Monthly, Texas Highways, The Los Angeles Times, and beyond. I on occasion review books for BookPage and co-host a queer, monthly film podcast called The Mixed Reviews.
